2018 Tax Roll Information


First Installment taxes and special assessments are due at the local treasurer’s office on or before January 31, 2019 or a penalty & interest amount of 1 ½% per month will be added from February 1, 2019 until unpaid.

Real estate taxes may be paid by installments: first installment to the local treasurer’s office of 50%, but not less than $100 on or before January 31, 2019; second installment due and payable to the County Treasurer, St. Croix County Government Center, 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson, WI 54016, on or before July 31, 2019.

DELINQUENT TAXES must be paid to the County before current year’s taxes are collected at the town office.

Taxes can be mailed to the town hall or OR Taxes can be paid in person at the Town

 To save postage costs when mailing tax bills, starting this year we also will NOT be sending out the Tax Listing of all owners in the Town of Emerald. This information will also be available on the website and/or you can request one mailed to you by providing a SELF ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE. Again, we will NOT be mailing with the tax bills.

 Pursuant to Chapter 174 of the Wisconsin State Statutes – DOG LICENSES must be obtained from the Town Treasurer to avoid penalties and fines for dog’s running at large without being licensed. Enclosed is a dog license form – please fill out and provide rabies information prior to sending in to obtain a dog license. Please fill out form saying you current do not own a dog if that is applicable and send form in also.

o Dog license cost before April 1, 2019 – Spayed or Neutered $5.00 each
o Dog license cost before April 1, 2019 – Un-spayed or Un-neutered $10.00 each
o AFTER April 1, 2019 – there is an additional $5.00/dog late fee to be added.
